Meet the 2015 Angler of the Year

Jay Straughan is the Northern Neck Anglers Club 2015 “Angler of the Year”. He received 18 points during the 8 designated club tournaments to finish first among all adult members. Jay consistently finished among the leaders in each of the NNAC monthly tournaments which included 7 targeted species.

“I fish out of Glebe Creek which runs right past one of our check in stations Lewisetta Marina. The bait I am holding is from RW’S sport shop a place I frequently visit. My fishing partner is Elwood Ball who besides being a knowledgeable fisherman helps keep my cooler stocked . I have been a member for many years and its been a great experience and helped keep my tackle stocked.”

As we approach the start of a new season, be sure to complete a membership application/renewal and liability form and mail it along with your dues to the club’s mailing address in order to be eligible for tournaments.

Be sure to check out the Reports and Comments tool in the Members Only Section. It allows you to post messages to the membership. Members can respond. You can use it to report fish catches, sell equipment/boats, ask questions about techniques and other related topics. It is available for you to use.
